Reading is about THINKING!

Picture
Reading is about THINKING!  When we read, we are active readers. We are constantly thinking about what the story reminds us of, what connections we have, and if we have any questions that we need to have answered.  Good readers pay attention to their thoughts.  In this unit, we monitor our comprehension when reading stories.  We write our thoughts on sticky notes and share them with our friends.  In this lesson we learned how to monitor our comprehension and we had to then go back and think about what the story mostly made us think about.
