In Writing Workshop, we have started our small moment unit. Students are learning how to zoom in on one moment and stretch it out. Children are now writing in three page booklets. J
In Language Arts, we started our 4th week of Reading Street. We will be reading a story about a fox and her kit. Book bags are going home four times a week. (Monday-Thursday) Enjoy singing and reading!

In Math, we will learn how to:
· Estimate and count the number of objects in a group
· Compare quantities
· Name the value of a group of pennies using cent notation.
· Identify a penny and a nickel

· Count forward by 5s and then on by 1s
· Write number models
· Unit 2 test will be next week.

Theme Work: We will continue to study weather. Last week, we experimented with air and we started our interactive weather calendar. Students are observing and recording the weather daily.
